Last night I dreamt an oil company was going to drill in Los Angeles right where Sinbad was having a 'Movie Camp.' I was in one of the cabins hanging out with Sinbad. I was trying to remember the name of a movie he was in and he couldn't remember, either. "There's the internet movie data base," he said, pointing to a book on the shelf. "Why don't you check there?"
A woman who was at Movie Camp handed me a book of storyboards from her movie. "I'm trying to get funding," she said. I flipped through the book and was amazed. The storyboards looked like they were drawn by Charles Schulz and Jim Woodring. I was impressed but also sad, because there was no way that movie was going to be made.
Then I woke up.
For those of you who don't remember Sinbad, he was famous/infamous for always working the phrase "Big Booty" into his stand-up routines... which is why this scene from Good Burger is one of my all-time favorite Sinbad moments.
p.s.: The name of the movie Sinbad & I were trying to think of was "First Kid." I've never seen that movie. Sinbad has never appeared in my dreams before. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
