NEWTOWN Toronto Launch Party!

There's a big ol' box of NewTowns on its way to my door, which can only mean one thing: it's time for the Toronto Launch Party!

AGP's Literary Cavalcade will be rolling into The Victory Cafe on Tuesday October 9th, from 7PM to 10 PM! Join us, won't you, for readings & performances by Shari Kasman, Michael Murray, Jacqueline Valencia & A.G. Pasquella.

Jacqueline Valencia is a poet, writer, and an illustrator whose goal is to be the shortest poet to climb a metaphor. Schooled at the University of Toronto, she trains in oxford comma hurdles and jelly donut villanelles, the breakfast of champions.

Shari Kasman writes truth and fiction using short, medium, long, and extralong sentences. Her work has appeared on her computer’s hard drive as well as in magazines such as Joyland and Matrix.

Michael Murray currently lives and works in Toronto. He won the New Yorker Cartoon Caption contest and dislikes Cuba. He works as a creative writer, blogger and “journalist” and as he is modest, he feels awkward talking about his genius, which he recently found out does not translate into IQ tests. He writes for Hazlitt, Slant and many other prestigious publications that pay extraordinary amounts of money.

And what the heck, here's a 3rd person bio for me: A.G. Pasquella was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and is now a dual U.S./Canadian Citizen. His work has appeared in various spots including McSweeney's, Wholphin, Black Book and Joyland. He recently joined tumblr and has no idea what he's doing, but he is having fun!
